September 2005 - Herker continues to revitalize its 5S program with its third 5S event

With its third 5S event this summer in the CNC machining department. The program includes cross function teams including HR, engineering, and management as well as production team members. This third event focused on the secondary operation gantry loading CNC lathes. Approximately 80% of the Herker's associates in the CNC area have participated in these most recent lean training and kaizen events. Momentum is building as volunteers for this third event allowed the kaizen team to double the number of machines finally included in this third event.
