Herker Acquires Vertical Machining Center to Further Increase Efficiencies

As part of its ongoing commitment to production efficiency, Herker Industries has added a Hyundai-Kia V50D Vertical Machining Center to its equipment portfolio. Hyundai-Kia is one of few manufacturers to offer a 40 taper Vertical with a pallet changer, which drastically increases efficiency by effectively eliminating operator load/unload time. THere is only a 6 second pallet change time and loading is done internal to the cycle time. The increase in efficiency allows for additional throughput improvement.
In addition to the pallet changer, the V50D can accommodate 24 tools and offers coolant through tool capability. It is ideally suited for the manufacture of parts up to 26" x 20" x 19".
