Herker Increases Welding Capacity

October 1st, 2011

Herker Industries has recently added three (3) new booths to increase welding capacity. Our capabilities include:

  • Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) Utilizing Fixtures
  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) - Tungsten Inert Gas/TIG
  • ABB Welding Robot
  • Two Certified Welding Inspectors on Staff

GMAW, as the most common industrial welding process today, is preferred for its versatility, speed and ease of adaptability to robotic automation. GTAW, a slower operation, is most commonly used to weld thin sections of stainless steel and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, magnesium and copper alloys. The process grants the operator greater control over the weld, allowing for stronger, higher quality welds.
