Herker Industries has poised itself to meet increased customer demand due to the economic recovery by making another investment in its equipment portfolio.

The most recent addition is a Nakamura Tome WT 250II. This state-of-the-art CNC turning center has been proven to increase productivity while decreasing milling and turning production costs. The opposed twin-spindle twin-turret multi-tasking machine achieves faster production by improving throughput, minimizing set-up time and eliminating operations. With consolidating machining, simultaneous production is executed within one turning center, increasing capabilities and reducing cycle time.

The Nakamura Tome WT250II features:
• Up to 29.5 kW cutting power available for turning shaft-work with synchronized spindles.
• Driven-tool motor for heavy cutting with small tools.
• 4-axis machining as well as various other machining combinations possible on either spindle.
• Upper/lower turrets and opposed two-spindle construction balances and reduces cycle time.
• Maximum capacity of 48 fixed tools.

This machine is ideal for the manufacture of various types of parts in small or large batches. By staying on the cutting-edge of equipment technology, Herker Industries is able to provide high quality parts with quicker turn-around time, while passing the cost savings onto customers.
